Can a video be re-encoded?
I'm experiencing an issue with videos that we are putting on an
app. The videos are stored here on Vzaar. They periodically
have
blurry frames due to slow refresh. I had uploaded these videos and
encoded them. I believe this might have been due to
inaccurate encoding for the iPhone / iPad by the video server at
that time. Is there any way I can have these videos re-encoded?
Otherwise, I will have to upload them again to force encoding..

Hello Robert,
Yes, you can reencode the same video once again or even into different quality profiles as long as you know the GUID of that video that was giving to you during upload (i assume you are talking about API based upload?). just keep in mind that on each Process Video called, that handles your encoding, you will have new video ID.
Regards,
Evi

OK, how do I know the GUID? Is it in the e-mail notification about the upload/encoding? And, assuming I know the GUID, how do I re-encode?

Robert, do you use any of API libraries we provide?

I guess not. So, do I have to re-upload?

In this case, i guess, it's only option you have.

Hi Robert
Apologies that we can't be of any more help in this case. I will close this ticket now if that is okay with you, but feel free to open it again if you have any further questions.
Kind regards
Jessica
