We had a good year here at vzaar and we wanted to give you a very special festive thanks for being with us. We hope we managed to put a smile on your face. And if we did, we have one favour to ask – share it with someone :)

If you’re wondering how we managed to make the office roar in laughter on a Thursday afternoon, here’s a list of party games that will keep the good vibes flowing at any festive party:

Have a very merry Christmas and prosperous New Year!

Best Easter Eggs: 5 Quirky Surprises From Around The Web

Seeing as it’s Easter we thought this week we’d take a break from our usual video tips and do something a little bit sillier.

For those of you who don’t know already, we’re not talking chocolate eggs, here. Easter Eggs are unexpected little moments of joy hidden throughout the internet. Put there simply to make you smile.

Just for fun, here’s some of the best Easter Eggs from around the web…

He-Man: The Musical

If you want to inject a little bit of humour into your website, an Easter Egg can be a really great way of doing it. It conveys that little dash of personality that will make your brand stand out from everyone else. Like the fantastic Black Acre Brewing Co.

Hit “I’m under 21” and enjoy the musical talents of He-Man. Just coz.

Google Chrome Dinosaur

If you hit the Chrome error page, fear not! There’s a fun little game you can occupy yourself with. Just hit space and avoid the cacti. Be warned – it can get a little addictive!

Google Homepage Language

Another one from those clever folks at Google. You can change the Google homepage language by entering “www.google.com/webhp?hl=xx-” and then the language of your choice, including pirate (www.google.com/webhp?hl=xx-pirate), Klingon (www.google.com/webhp?hl=xx-klingon) and Elmer Fudd (www.google.com/webhp?hl=xx-elmer).

Vogue Dinosaur

There’s tons of Easter Eggs that make use of the Konami code. And Vogue does it with dinosaurs. And not just any dinosaurs. As you might expect from a fashion magazine, these dinosaurs look good.

Head over to the UK site, enter the code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A) and check out the jaunty hats. Keep pressing “A” for more.

Less of an Easter Egg, more of an Easter Egg Hunt. The team behind animated series Archer has put in a huge amount of work. Hidden in one of this season’s episodes, a hexadecimal code has led fans to secret websites, videos and more. You can see the hunt so far here. Mind = blown.

vzaar Support Superstars: Joe

We’re pretty fond of our support team here at vzaar, and we know that you are too! So, we thought it was about time to introduce you to its newest member: Joe.

Biggest Claim To Fame?

Once, when we were kids, my brother and I were in the local supermarket. I can’t remember why, but for some reason we both had helium balloons with us. Inevitably, my brother’s balloon escaped and drifted up to the ceiling. He was just starting to tear up when, out of nowhere, Tom Baker appeared. He immediately reached up and grabbed the balloon from the ceiling for us before disappearing down the dairy isle. Needless to say, the whole experience was very surreal.

Most Frequently Asked Support Question?

One of the most common questions we get asked has got to be “How can I stop people downloading my videos?”. It’s a hugely important question when you’re looking to monetise video content and we have a very straightforward answer – RTMPe video delivery!

3 Interesting Facts:

1. I once turned down an invite to a party at Stanley Kubrick’s mansion because it was cold outside.

2. I have driven a speedboat down the Thames right through central London.

3. My friends named their band after me for a laugh and it stuck.

Super Power I wish I Had:

It’s got to be teleportation. Hands down. Just think about the amount of time you waste travelling. And think about how that time could be much better spent.

Football or Soccer?

Honestly, I’m not particularly big on either. That said, I certainly get very patriotic for that brief period every World Cup before England inevitably suffer a resounding defeat.

Mustard or Ketchup

Mustard, if I had to pick. But the only condiments that matter in my book contain eye watering amounts of chilli.

James Bourne or James Bond?

Confession time: I’ve never watched the Bourne films (or read the books). I don’t know the first thing about them. Bond wins by default I suppose?

Tea or Coffee?

Tea. Coffee only comes into consideration if I don’t plan to sleep for the next week.

The Perfect Cup of Tea Is…

English Breakfast for sure, beyond that I’m not too picky. As long as it’s hot I’ll be content.
