Serving 54,000 students in 90 schools at the heart of the city, San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) is the third largest public school system in the Bexar County area. For more than 100 years it has educated some of San Antonio's most notable citizens, whose contributions have made the world a better place.
Web administrator Brad Wehring explains, "SAISD provides a comprehensive instructional program for students from pre-kindergarten right through to 12th grade. The program includes a college preparatory curriculum, Magnet programs, career and technology education, bilingual education, special education, and a variety of extracurricular opportunities."
The team uses video as part of its marketing plan to showcase its schools. According to Wehring, "We've all heard that 'a picture is worth a thousand words,' so by using video we hope to increase the visibility of our schools by showing it at community meetings, parent programs and other events, as well as on our campus website."

To assist with the development of its campus videos, SAISD needed a video hosting platform which would allow campuses, departments and programs to upload, delete and manage videos in their own user profile, under one umbrella account. "We chose vzaar because of its Multi User Accounts feature. This allows us to issue separate accounts tied to a single campus that is accessible only by each user."
Wehring continues, "vzaar is very easy to use and manage. For District management we love the Multi User Accounts. Now, instead of uploading our videos on multiple servers and services, we instead have a single service accessible by our designated users."
With the support of vzaar’s video hosting platform, SAISD has been able to successfully implement its marketing plan, "Videos in vzaar have made it easier to launch our marketing efforts to get the word out about our unique and appealing campuses. It has also made it easier to share our professional development content to our staff, teachers, and students," Wehring finishes.
