Domain Control

vzaar has a number of features that give you, the content owner, greater control over who can and who cannot view your videos.

In some cases users want to ensure that only certain people (e.g. internal staff, paying clients, etc.) can play and view a video. That's why we offer you the following options:

Setting a Video to Private
When you upload a video to vzaar you can choose to make it private or public. By turning it to private, only you will be able to see the video on vzaar when logged in. By making it public anybody will be able to see the video on vzaar and over time in search engine results such as Google's, given that we regularly submit our videos to these search engines in order to improve the search engine optimisation of your video content.

This setting can also be set as a default in your Settings Page.

Domain Control
If you want your video to only play when embedded on a particular web domain, please enter the web address (URL) for this domain in your Settings Page. This will block the video from playing on other sites and in doing so protect your content.

If you would like to include sub-domains you can also enable that feature here too.

Should you require more domain control URLs, but do not wish to upgrade your subscription, you can purchase them individually for a one off fee of $25.00. You can do this any time from your account's add-ons page.

If you need multiple domain control URLs, please contact us to discuss the options available to you as you may save money by upgrading your subscription.

As an alternative to Domain Control, we also offer Signed Keys security. Note that Signed Keys and Domain Control are mutually exclusive - you can use one or the other but not both.
